Pine Wood Derby!!

In Daxtons scout troop each year they do a pinewood derby. The boys all get the same kit and have to work with their dads to make a car out of it. They cant weigh over 5 oz and the point is to have the fastest cars. Daxton and Layne worked really hard a few nights each week making his car perfect. Come race night Daxton has also done everything he needed to in order to earn his next ranking in the scout program so he earned his Wolf as well as a bunch of arrow points which is a huge accomplishment in boy scouts. Each boy had to race 4 times. Daxtons car came in 1st place all 4 races so he made it to the finals!! In the finals they raced 3 times. 2 times his car came in 1st place and the 3rd time it came in second place but overall Daxtons car had the best score so he took 1st place out of 18 cars!!! He was so excited! Their hard work paid off. I am so proud of him for all of the hard work he is doing!! Man I love that kid!! He is growing up so fast!
