Christmas 2013

Christmas this year was very good to us. We certainly were blessed and have so many things to be thankful for!! Christmas eve we did our tradition of going to Layne's family Christmas Party.  Before heading there we stopped to visit Kael and give him his Christmas gifts. There was so much snow but we were able to dig out some. Once done we headed to Kays house they always have tons of yummy food and its great to see everyone. Once  we got home the boys found their gifts from the elves (some kind, kind people did some amazing things for our family this year and we couldn't be more thankful), put on their Christmas jammies and got busy making reindeer food, spreading it across the yard along with carrots and putting out cookies for Santa. Once that was all done Layne read them the night before Christmas this has become such a fun tradition. We let them stay up for a bit then sent them to bed so Santa could come. Layne's brother and his girlfriend had been down from Wyoming since Friday and stayed with us all week so they helped us get everything set up and ready for the morning. At 330 the kids came in our room and were so excited that Santa had come they wanted to open presents right then we convinced them it was to early and tucked them back in bed. At 730 they were up again so we decided they could open presents. Watching them is always so much fun! Kids on Christmas is such an amazing thing they got so super excited about everything. Layne and I's big gift this year was a new washer and dryer since ours decided to go out a week before Christmas... After we were all done opening presents we headed to Layne's moms house for our annual Christmas breakfast. My dad joined us there as always and we ate more yummy food. The kids got to open all of their gifts from the grandparents and aunt they played for a bit and then we headed home. The rest of the day was spent with visitors and playing with all of their new things. It was a beautiful day one spent with lots of love, hugs and kisses. My sweet sister in law took Kaels clothes and made the beautiful blanket above and gave it to me a few days before Christmas. It was by far my favorite gift but will have a post of its own :). Holidays are so bitter sweet missing one of our kiddos but we surely are blessed and do our best daily to be thankful for all that we have. All in all id say Christmas 2013 was a huge success!!

Winter Happenings

Man I have fallen behind on my blog so I am going to sum up our December for the most part in this post. We have had so much fun but been busy, busy, busy!!! We started the month off by decorating the house for Christmas. The kids had fun helping put all the ornaments on the tree. We did lots of crafts making marshmallow snowmen, snowflakes and more. We went to the Bott family Christmas party which was breakfast, reindeer making and presents which was lots of fun. I had the privilege of going to sweet McKenzie's 4th angelversarry I just adore her sweet family. I got to help write the names of many angel babies on these balloons that they let go. Reading all of the sweet babies names brings tears to my eyes. Her mom always puts together the best get together s and I am honored to be invited. We got a big snow storm so the boys and I had a blast making snowmen one Saturday morning. The boys had a singalong for Christmas at school which was lots of fun to go to I always love watching the little kids sing. We helped participate in a sub for Santa for a sweet family who was in need it was really nice to be able to teach the kids the spirit of giving. They were so sweet to go through their things and donate some to other who needed them so much more than they do. It was a fun lesson to teach the boys. We had some play dates and gift exchanges with friends and worked hard at school and work. It has been such a blessed month. I sure love making these traditions and time spent with family.  I wish that the spirit of Christmas could last all year long. That is my goal heading into 2014 to bless someones life each and every day even if its small. I want to make a difference.

Verizon Party 2013

I love that Verizon does this party every year. It did not disappoint again this year. There were so many fun things for the kiddos to do. It was candy land themed they had lots of fun games, face painting, tattoos, treats, crafts, karaoke, Santa, frosty, pooh bear, penguins, princes, princesses and a big raffle. The kids always love to come to my work and see who I work with and play. It was so much fun! I love making memories like these for the kids. Family time is priceless to me and its always great building fun memories with the kids!

8 months old.

Dang the time is going to fast. I feel like I cant take in every single minute like I'd love to do. Little miss Tiara is growing and changing so stinking fast. This little lady is also getting so smart. At 8 months old she can say mama, dada, hi, nigh nigh (for night night), she waves by by, says mmmmm as she eats and is trying new things and loves to give snuggles and open mouth kisses. She loves to laugh at her brothers and play on the floor with them. She loves to sing songs, read books, look at pictures especially of her angel brother Kael. She will ooh and ahhh and babble on with his pictures for very long periods of time. Oh how I wish I knew what they were talking about. She loves to play on the floor with her toys and is starting to get a bit mischievous so we cant leave anything by her that she can grab and make a mess of. She is so happy all of the time and really is such a sweet baby! She is weighing in at 16 lbs. 2 oz and is 37 inches tall. She has moved into 6-9 month clothes, wears size 2 diapers and size 1 shoes. She has tried in the last month pears, turkey, chicken, pumpkin, her dad let her have a sip of peps which she LOVED but I had a huge fit lol  and oatmeal. She loved Thanksgiving and had the cutest little outfit she was the hit of the show. She still has loved everything I have given her.  She had her first bath with out the baby seat and used the sitting up seat which she love and splashed for 30 minutes. She also has enough hair now to wear little bows with out the headband :). This little lady brings so much love and laughter into our home. She is certainly a blessing to us and we cherish every moment we have with her. She is a fighter and a lover and we wouldn't change her for anything. So very thankful for another month with this beautiful little lady!
