Tiaras 9 month pictures

A few weeks ago we did Tiaras 9 month pictures. My friend had a great idea to do them at the library since its cold outside. They turned out so darn cute!! They really show all of Tiaras expressions. I love doing these milestone pictures and seeing how much she has changed and grown!! I cant wait for her 1 year old pictures we have such fun plans!! I am so loving watch this beautiful baby learn and grow!!

Service weekend...

3 weeks ago Layne and I went for our service weekend banquet with his company. Its always fun to get away for a bit and just relax. They always put us up at a really nice Marriott and feed us nummy food. They have their big weekend to talk about success for the previous year and goals for the next year. While there we made our annual trip to VuDoo doughnuts its such a fun shop and the kids love that we bring some back for them. This is where I broke my arm :( they had a rug in their lobby that someone had kind of gathered up and my heel hit the gathered part and got stuck and I toppled over... not such a great thing to do while out of town so this year we also got to frequent the ER at their local hospital. Luckily it wasn't to busy and they took good care of us. It was a lovely weekend spent with lots of fun people and especially for some grown up time with the man that I love. We are so blessed to have such great companies to work for!!!

humility.....

I have so many things I need to blog about  I am so far behind, I will get to those posts but today I need to blog about the life lessons I am learning. Last Saturday I fell and broke my left arm.  Its been quite a challenge to get anything done! I am not one to ask for help but have had no choice this past week. I've been trying to figure out what this trial is supposed to teach me... I think it's too slow down,  realize all the good around me,  patience and that I can't do it all its okay to ask for help. It's really hard not being able to do the things I'm use to and love I need help holding tiara, changing her diapers,  feeding her. I need help showering,  washing my hair,  combing my hair, getting dressed,  I cant clean do laundry, heck I can't even lock my computer at work or put my own coat on and as im typing this post is with one hand fingers pecking at the key board.  What I'm trying to say though is this has taught me to slow down,  enjoy the small things and that is okay if everything is not perfect all the time.  If the laundry sits for a day or two, all the toys arent put away or if theres a few dishes in the sink. Its also teaching me to appreciate what I have. Layne has been amazing through all of this.  He has been so patient,  helpful and kind.  He didn't mumble and groan that he had to shower me or brush my hair,  hes filled in being Mr mom and has mastered the laundry. I owe him BIG time. We've had many friends and family step up to help with cleaning the house,  helping with tiara when she was in the hospital and I have some amazing friends who have stepped up huge to help me out at work.  I guess what I am saying is I am so blessed and so thankful for the life I have and for those who are in it.  Ill do better to slow down and enjoy the small stuff!!!!

P.s. This has also inspired me that I need to get back into shape any of my health curbs want to give me some tips?  Also if you see me and I have a cupcake or cookie kindly tell me to put it down! !! Starting on a journey for a healthier me!

9 moths old!!!!

This little lady turned 9 months old on the 2nd of January. she is getting so big and so stinking smart!!! She says mama, dada, hi, night night, more, yummm, bye bye, bruba (brother0 and even combined her first two words to say bye bye dada. Seriously she is out of this world when it comes to talking. Our pediatrician said she is more like 15 month developmentally wise not 9 months old makes for one proud mama! She also waves bye bye, give and gives  the biggest hugs and kisses. Her new foods this month were blueberries, pineapples, gerber baby snacks, crackers and we let her try a Popsicle for her teeth that are trying to come in. She can sit up from laying down, she crawls backwards, scoots forwards, is standing up and holding onto things with out being held onto and takes steps while holding our hands. She loves to read stories, sing songs, play with her babies, she will hug and kiss her babies when she gets a hold of them.  She loves to grab anything and everything in sight. We started introducing the sippy cup which she is really liking. At her 9 month appointment she weighed in at 16 lbs. 15 oz which is 20%, is 28 inches long which is 65%. She is wearing size 6-9 month clothes, size 2 diapers and size 2 shoes.  She is getting such a little personality and already shows some signs of attitude here and there which is so stinking funny. Im sure when shes two we wont think so but for now its adorable. We continue to fall more and more in love with this little lady each day. She is such a  little spit fire and so lovey all at the same time. We love her to pieces and wouldn't trade her for anything!!

We also had her follow up appointment with the cardiologist and he says her heart is sounding good. He still hears the murmur but he isnt super worried about it. We will follow up again in 6 months and this year sometime they will do an test that she will need to be sedated for to look at the heart and make sure what hes hearing is correct. He wants to wait until RSV season is over though and she is a bit bigger to make sure she does ok with the sedation. Good news so far. We will continue to pray that all goes well with her sweet little heart!

Precious memories.....

I wanted to post a special post about this blanket my sister in law made because it seriously means so much to me. Everyday I look at it and it brings me back to those moments with Kael. I can remember what we did the day he wore each outfit, playing in the grass, the night at  the byu game we all went to together, jammies when we snuggled at night of how some of those nights were long but I love and cherish each of them, pieces of his towels we would use when giving him his sponge baths he loved to get washed off his hair was his favorite thing he would get the happiest face when we washed his hair, the ones we took his professional pictures how blessed we are that we got to do that once, the blankets we cuddled up in on the couch or that we rocked with in his glider, the onezies the boys played peek a boo with him in, the outfit he wore when we were finally able to bring him home from the hospital in and so many more! Its amazing what it has done to my memory. Some days I feel like I am forgetting so much. We are going on 6 years this year and every day I think of Kael and remember that special spirit he had but some of the little things are slipping. I hate that so bad I want to remember every single little thing and this blanket has helped to bring some back!  Not a day goes by that I don't look at it. It is such a priceless, precious gift. I love that I can hold it, snuggle in it and just think of him. Of course I wish it was him I was holding and snuggling but since that's not an option right now the blanket is amazing. I am forever thankful for this precious gift and for my amazing sister in law who made it. It is by far the best most precious gift I have recieved in a long time. I love it when I know someone still thinks of and remembers Kael. I will forever live to honor and remember his life and his name and hope and pray that one day we will see him again. What a special boy he was who taught me so much and continues to teach me so much each and every day!
