Work Christmas Party
Monday night my work had our work party. I was on the committee in charge of the party it was tons of work but totally paid off!! We had a DJ, face painters, lots of games, yummy cookies and punch and best of all Santa who the kids got to take pictures with and printed for free!! Its always fun to let the kids go to my work since on most days they aren't able to come in. I work in a secured building so family access is a bit limited. The kids think all we do there is have parties since that's the only time they get to come ;0). We had a blast and built lots of fun memories!
Family Christmas Party
Sunday we had our family Christmas party. Lots of food, fun and family!! We had a breakfast and then did a gift exchange and the grandparents gave their presents. The kids ran around with each other, wrestled, sang Christmas songs and had tons of fun!! It was a great party that my mom put together. It was nice being surrounded by family.
Happy Birthday
Over the weekend we took my brothers foster daughter out for her birthday. It was her big 18th so we went bowling and let her decide where to go for lunch. She choose Applebees it was so much fun the kids had a ball bowling and everyone enjoyed themselves. Im so glad we could take her!! I hope she had a great time! We love you Krissy!!

My first blog giveaway!!!
Hi all!! I'm so excited to be apart of this giveaway this year what a lovely thing that Tina has done over the past few years. I am sorry that you are here due to the fact that makes you a BLM. But I am glad to be participating in this giveaway in hopes it brings someone a little bit of joy during this very hard time of year!! I look forward to "meeting" each of you through my blog! To enter this giveaway just leave a comment with your name and a special memory of your sweet angel. Kael is our 3rd son. He was born with a neuromuscular condition and had to work very hard at life. He spent 4 and a half of his 5 months 3 weeks here on earth in the hospital. The time that we did have him home was AMAZING though. We got his pictures done, we got him blessed in our church, we took walks, he was able to lay in the grass and even attend a BYU football game which is a huge thing in our family. He was such a special spirit and every time we held him we knew he was a special gift. He made our lives so fantastic. He fought everyday for his life and was such a hero. He never gave up and for that we are grateful!! He makes me want to be a better person every day! If I can be only half the person he was in his short little life it would be a miracle. I sure look up to that little boy and miss him like you couldn't believe. A few months back I won a giveaway which was a figurine from the Willow Tree line. I love it, it makes me smile every time I see it and so since I'm not overly crafty I decided I would give away a angel from the willow tree line. It is "The angel of light" It has the angel holding a star. Stars remind me of Kael and all of our angels watching over us from up above. It is a beautiful piece and I cant wait to give it to one of you. I realize I'm posting this a bit early but my day is in oh about 5 hours and I didn't want to be late with the rushing of the morning time so I figured better early than late :). I will leave this giveaway up from now through tomorrow night and announce the winner on Monday!! Best luck to you all. I hope you feel your angels near and that this holiday season is gentle on you. Much love to all of my BLM'S!!

Sadness...
UGGH last night was a hard one. Its not real often that I am brought to a waterfall of tears anymore but when it hits it sure hits hard. Sometimes its hard watching those around us get everything that we have ever hoped for a "complete family" to see them living their "perfect dream life". We dream of our family being one way and one day its all torn away from us. You would think 3 years later it wouldn't be so hard. But alas it is. I find myself wishing we still had Kael that our family was "complete". I know that we have Kael always in our hearts and that he is near watching from heaven what I wouldn't give to have him here in our arms right now at this very moment. I dream of him, hope for him and wish for him. I know it will be a long time until my wishes come true and sometimes its so hard to face that. I pray that he is happy in heaven. That he looks down on us and is proud. We are trying so hard to do the things we need to in order to be with him in heaven. I picture his sweet face playing in heaven, free of worries and pain. I picture him dancing and running, being FREE. Here on earth he would have never had that but we would have done our best to keep him comfortable and at peace. The gaping hole in my heart is a big one. I miss him so much. People don't seem to get that, they expect that its been 3 years and that I should have "moved" on by now. I hate to break the news but you don't just "get over" loosing a child. The pain is still raw at times, not as much as it used to because slowly I'm taping the pieces of my heart back together but it will never be the same... I just wish that others could see and understand that. So here I sit wishing, waiting and hoping one day we will all be "complete" again.

Letters to Kael...
So I totally am stealing this idea from another BLM Ashely. I'm so thankful to have met her she is so sweet, strong and kind! Anywho she had people write letters to her son Beckett that passed away from SIDS to put in his stocking last year this year she opened it up to others to do as well and Id love to do the same thing! (I hope you don't mind Ashley :) ) You can either email me the letter at brigey5689@gmail.com and I will put it in a envelope or send me a email and Ill send you my physical address. I have met so many wonderful people through blog land and have such a supporting family and friends I thought no better way to fill Kaels stocking this year with your memories of him or how he has touched your lives! If your kids want to participate they can draw pictures etc. I hate that his stocking hangs empty and so would love to change that this year. So if you feel so inclined please send a letter!! Thanks so much in advance. I love and appreciate each and everyone of you! I hope your holidays are blessed and gentle on you this year.
