Test Results
Well the babies test results are in!! Lots of good news and a little bit of not so great news. Wed after Christmas I got the call we had been waiting for it was the perinatologist. The tests from the amnio were in. Great news is that all of her chromosomes look good, no signs of down syndrome, no signs of troubles like Kael had, she is for sure a she and shes growing right on track. The not so good news is that it came back that she carries two strands of the cystic fibrosis gene. This means that when born she will have some sort of cystic fibrosis. The good news is this we have already been put in touch with the best of the best at Primary Children's and have had a lot of our questions already answered. There are so many things they can do these days for these sweet babies and most of them live a fairly normal life with the exception of needing medicine and sometimes breathing treatments which can be done at home. There is all sorts of therapies out there and medicines that these people are living into adulthood and having their own families, holding jobs etc. Its not to say it wont be a little bit harder than normal and that there wont be any complications but with how medicine is growing we are much more at ease. Layne's brother Richard has cystic fibrosis and his is so tame that they didn't even diagnose him until he was in his 40's hes been overall healthy and has done many things with his life so we are very, very optimistic. From now until I deliver I will be monitored every 2 weeks. They will do a ultrasound every other time just to ensure she is growing as she should and that there are no other complications. On Friday we had a ultrasound and she is looking GREAT! She is growing right on track and moving around like crazy, her heart rate was looking great also. She was kicking her legs above her head and grabbing her toes with her hand it was so stinking cute! So if you can please pray for this little one keep her in your thoughts and hope for a non eventful next 13 weeks. I cant believe I am almost to the single digits already it doesn't seem possible. We cant wait to meet our sweet baby and will do everything in our power to ensure she lives a fantastic, great full life! We are feeling beyond blessed and cant wait to meet our sweet baby!!
New Years Eve
New Years Eve was lots of fun this year. We did our annual tradition of going to my friends house to ring in the New Year. We go there so the kids can play. adults can play and so we can be safe from all the crazy drivers. We have lots of fun playing games. watching the ball drop, doing fireworks and making breakfast at midnight. We've done this for the past 3 years and its become quite the tradition. It was a great night filled with love and fun! In 2013 I have decided to use a word rather than making New Years Resolutions. my words this year are PATIENCE and LOVE! I want to be so much more patient with those around me, love more, judge less and help those around me! So that's what I will be working on!! 2012 was quite the year lots of ups and downs, highs and lows I'm excited to see what 2013 will bring!! Here's to a great New Year!!
Christmas
Christmas was very good to us this year. We had lots of fun, family, love and spirit. The morning before Christmas Eve Dash the elf left my kids a note with a gift card for each of them to build a bear. The kids had a blast going there and creating their bears they turned out so stinking cute! Christmas Eve we went to Layne's family side for their Christmas Party there was tons of yummy food, great company, gift exchanges and being together. When we got home the kids made their reindeer food and took it outside, they found their Christmas Eve jammies left by the elf and Layne read the Twas the Night Before Christmas which has come our tradition. Once it was done we left cookies and milk for Santa and tucked the kids into bed. Christmas morning the kids woke up around 8 and were super excited that Santa had come. We all opened our gifts and got ready for the day. Man were we all spoiled!! We certainly are blessed. Once ready we headed to Layne's mom's for our annual Christmas breakfast and to get all of our presents from her. She is always very good to us! The kids played there for a while then we headed over to Layne's sisters because her husband had made things for the boys. A awesome sled for Landon and airplanes for the other boys. We visited there for a bit and then headed home so the kids could play with all of their new things on the way home we of course stopped to visit Kael and wish him a Merry Christmas.I sure hope he knows how much we love and miss him on the holidays. Layne's other sister and hubby came out for a few hours to visit and see what the boys had gotten. Over all is was a beautiful Christmas.

Kyles Eagle
Ive written here about Kyle once or twice before. He is my nephew who just turned 18 and has autism. He is one of the kindest, whole hearted, special kids I know. This last Sunday he did something that not many people achieve, something he had to work very hard for and something that took him a really long time. He earned his Eagle Scout award. We went to his court of honor on Sunday which was the most moving, tender thing I have seen or been to in a very long time. They did a great job recognizing him and his accomplishments. Kyle even gave a talk and sang a song because the music on his slide show was not working. I bawled almost the whole time trying to blame it on pregnancy hormones but I know it wasn't all that. Kyle has such a special spirit about him and you could certainly feel it strong that night. The reason that I write about this is one I never want to forget how hard Kyle worked but two it reminds me that we can accomplish anything we put our minds to!! He didn't let his disability get him down, he didn't use it as an excuse he simply choose to do something and did it. I hope that one day I am as strong, brave and special as Kyle. He is one of my hero's here on earth and I am so happy that he is part of my life to remind me of what really is important. Love, charity and kindness!!
Bott Family Christmas Party
Today we had my side of the families Christmas Party. We did our annual breakfast, cousin gift exchange and then my mom gave all of the grand kids their presents. Its always fun for all of the cousins to get together even though it can be hectic. Food was yummy and the company was fun.
School Chirstmas Fun
This past week the boys had lots of fun with school Christmas activities. They had parties, gift exchanges, assemblies and the parents were invited for a school sing along. It was so much fun to be able to help out at their parties, and to go to the sing along with Layne and Landon. This sure is a fun time of year with kiddos in tow!!

Family Trip to see Santa
Friday night we had a little family date. We went out to dinner then hit up the mall to see Santa. The boys took a turn sitting on his lap and telling him what they want for Christmas and then we got their picture with him all together. Once we were done with Santa we looked around for a bit and then let the boys ride on the rides in the middle of the mall. When we got home we had a movie night with lots of treats and popcorn. It was a fantastic way to spend our Friday night!
